"I was able to resolve the search issue rather simply with a slight variation from Windows 7 by using something old school. In Windows 7, associates would just simply type part of the filename in Windows Explorer Search box in the mapped drive folder list and it would immediately start populating results. Using the same process in Windows 10 would produce 1 or no results. I added an *at the beginning of the search variable and voila.. immediate results. I compared side by side with Windows 7 same results."
